The eighth season of Code Lyoko is a project for fans and the continuation of the season 7, and this is the third and last season created by Rex Salazar. Starting at the next season season 9 up to season 25 which will be created by both LyokoWarrior12 and Shroob12. This is the last season of Code Lyoko to have all of the episodes produced in standard definition.
Story
The eighth season begins a week after the explosion of the Factory in the last episode of the seventh season, the FBI arrests the Lyoko-Warriors and centres that Lyoko is inaccessible after the destruction of the Factory where Alex Nicolas has died and the destination of Franz Hopper is uncertain. The Lyoko-Warriors are detained in a juvenile facility by FBI agents. Alex's fate is revealed. The main antagonist is the organisation Checkmate which obtains the total control of Lyoko, somebody anonymous releases the Lyoko-Warriors of the FBI but later they're blackmailed or controlled in exchange for getting something important.
